Weather Forecasting SoftwareThe best programs for weatherWhere to find the best weather forecasting software. Looking for software the keeps you up to date on weather? Look at these list of sites that will suit your weather needs. When looking for weather software for your computer, it's important to know what type of program you are looking for. There are lots of weather products out there and choosing the best one for your desktop, laptop, or even your smart phone is important. Most programs offer basic things such as 5-10 forecasts, current weather conditions, and weather alerts. Other programs might offer a bit more such as radar and satellite, hurricane tracking, and up to the minute forecasts. Now most programs will require that you purchase them. Apps for smart phones may be cheaper however and you can find many good apps for forecasting the weather. Programs for your laptop or dekstop will coast you at least $10-$15 dollars+. NOAA I recommend NOAA because it's basically going straight to the source. They have tons of maps and forecast models that you can look at. I frequently go there to see the upcoming model forecasts. Now I will admit, if you don't know at least some basic knowledge about weather forecasting, you will be totally confused about what the information means on some of the models and maps. But the good thing is, you can always learn. I didn't know much, and still don't know a lot, but with the power of the internet, you can quickly become a student of any subject, and learn some basic knowledge about things. Oh yeah, the NOAA website is free to use! Check them out at their website. Weatherbug Weahterbug is a popular software program for computers that has been around for awhile. It offers forecasts, can give you immediate severe weather alerts, radar images, and current weather conditions. It's free to download and install, but I must warn you, having constant weather alerts popup can get quite annoying at times for some people. They also have a mobile app for smartphones. Check out Weatherbug. F5 Data F5 Data is another popular program that requires a subscription in order to use their weather forecasting program. Their program offers maps, satellite images, spaghetti models, and more. You get more features as you upgrade your subscription. Check out F5 Data. So these are some of the most popular programs out there. If you know of any other weather forecasting software, or want me to plug your site, use the contact form above and I'll take a look!!
